SWTOR Trooper Class Review
Star Wars the Old Republic MMO is here, and yes they have other classes available to play other than Jedi's or Sith. One of these classes is the Trooper. I'm going to give you a quick SWTOR Trooper class review so you can see if they might fit your play style.
The Trooper is an elite Special Forces combat machine. They wear heavy armor and use heavy firepower to overwhelm their opponents. There isn't much sneaking around or mystical powers of the force for the Trooper, instead they use powerful blaster rifles, two-handed cannons, and grenades to charge head-long into battle and take it to the enemy.
When you play with the Trooper you have 2 advanced classes to choose from, the Commando and the Vanguard.
The Commando is the main DPS spec and can also be used for healing. Their primary weapons are Heavy Blaster Cannons and Grenades. They have 2 primary skill trees, Gunnery and Combat Medic.
Gunnery: Focuses on maximizing your cannons destructive power.
Combat Medic: Gives the Commando the ability to heal in small groups and off-heal in larger groups.
The Vanguard is the defensive (Tank) spec. Their primary weapons are Blaster Rifles and Energy Shields. They have 2 primary skill trees, Tactics and Shield Specialist.
Tactics: Teaches the Vanguard how to more effectively deal with close range combat.
Shield Specialist: Focuses on enhancing shield generators to absorb more damage and protect allies.
The Commando and Vanguard share the Assault Specialist tree. These skills increase grenade range and add explosives to your arsenal.
Each character in SWTOR gets 5 companions to help gathering, crafting and can also go on missions. The Troopers Companions are:
M1-4X
Assault Droid Planet: Nar Shaddaa Melee DPS/tank Ranged with Blaster Rifle Starting Kit: Flamethrower

SWTOR Datacron Guide – The Locations For EVERY Datacron In SWTOR!
Datacrons In SWTOR
Ever noticed a colored light shooting upwards on various places in your travels? Those are Datacrons and you need them! In this SWTOR Datacron guide I will try and shed a little on the subject.
Datacrons are collectibles that you find on random places on every planet in the game. Normally, there are about three Datacrons per planet, but there are also planets that have more. Upon interacting with them, you will receive a PERMANENT bonus to one of your stats. The usual bonus is +2. There is also the possibility of getting Datacrons that grant you a colored matrix shard. These are used in the making of the most powerful item modification modules.
Combining different colored matrix shards will give you different stats on the created mod. The only problem with these Datacrons is that they are hard to get to, but they are never hidden.
Most Datacrons are placed in areas where you will be a lot. But you will always see them on top of something. One thing you can be certain of is that they always stay in the same place and getting to it won’t be fast.
Most access routes involve running around for several minutes, jumping on and off cliffs and trying to find hidden roads and paths. So make sure you always discover the whole map and keep an eye out for such path ways that seem to be placed a little out of sight. I hope everyone will be able to gain from this little SWTOR Datacron guide.
As promised, here are the locations for every Datacron in Star Wars: The Old Republic.

SWTOR PvP - 3 Tips To Dominate Stars Wars: The Old Republic PvP
One of the many things that SWTOR players look forward to is the SWTOR PvP or the player versus player game format. The PvP format allows players to challenge and defeat others based purely on their skills, rather than having to rely heavily on others. This is a very rewarding aspect of the Star Wars player versus player format, but some players struggle at this kind of play. This article will reveal 3 tips on how to improve your winning ratio at SWTOR PvP.
SWTOR PvP Tip #1 - Play as the healer
If you are worried about winning in the warzone, then you should really consider being a healer. The one thing that Rift: Planes of Telara has taught me is that are never enough healers to go around. It would seem that since many of the classes in SWTOR are able to heal and that the healers would be found more often in warzones. However, what actually happens is that players who heal at flashpoints and dungeons just want to hang around and have fun. So in the end, there are almost no healers in any warzone. That's why being a healer in your team is actually a serious advantage, and especially if you want to win in games like Huttball.
SWTOR PvP Tip #2 - Play in groups of 2 or 3
Playing in pairs or trios can really help boost your success. Having 2 to 3 good players can also help with fast queues and early wins. The trick is to get a healer and a DPS class or two that can be effective when healed. An example of a great trio to play is to have one player as a warrior-like class, like a sentinel or a marauder, a healer and a player who is a caster or a ranged unit. The caster is basically the person who will control or stun opponents, while you can take down a carrier or finish an objective. The warrior player will help do and absorb the most damage, whilst you heal the player. Be warned, the warrior character can easily be taken down in group PvP focus-fire.SWTOR PvP Tip #3 - Play for the win
It may sound a little straightforward but many players simply go online to play against random players without working out how they can win the game. In other words, you should think about the strategies that you should be implementing in the game and how it can benefit your team. For example, if you have chosen a strong character like a sentinel, then you can run about and take down 2 players. Even if you are defeated in the process, you have at least helped your team gain a team advantage of 1 extra person, which is obviously a winning advantage.
This is just 1 way to gain a winning advantage to help you win SWTOR PvP games. But if you're highly geared and level 50, then you could basically beat anyone! Learn how to level up quickly, master you favourite class and totally dominate PvP with the best SWTOR guide here.

The SWTOR Jedi Sage or the SWTOR Jedi Shadow
You are sure that you will be playing a Jedi. After all, the force sensitive characters are what had you hooked on since the very beginning. However, now that there are a total of four Jedi advanced classes for you to choose from when Star Wars the Old Republic gets released, which should you play? If you want to mimic Master Yoda, then go for the Jedi Consular. The next question is, as a Jedi Consular, should you specialize as a Jedi Shadow or a Jedi Sage? Here are the preliminaries to help you decide which advanced class to aim for.
There are a total of three skill trees, also known as builds that the Jedi Sage and Jedi Shadow can further specialize into. Two are specific trees available to each advanced class, while one is an available option for both classes. The shared, Balance skill tree offers skills for the class that further enhances both force and light-saber abilities. Some of the known skills are those such as Containment and Presence of Mind, both of which are passive skills. Containment basically renders a 100% reduction in cast time of Force Lift in addition to the possibility of stunning targets for 2 seconds. Presence of Mind on the other hand, increases the possibility to deal a second force attack instantly and with increased damage after Telekinetic Throw
First of all, when do you get to choose a specialization? That would be as soon as you hit level 10. When it comes to what to expect in terms of general advanced class set-up, the SWTOR Jedi Sage highly emphasizes focus on the force as oppose to anything light-saber related. The Jedi Shadow on the other hand is suitable for anyone who prefers to handle the light-saber more, focusing mainly on stealth and burst damage.
For the SWTOR Jedi Shadow, the other two available skill trees gamers can choose from are Infiltration and Kinetic Combat. The Infiltration ability is all about stealth and positioning yourself for the next best attack while the Kinetic Combat skill is more about making use of the double-light saber ability to protect the Jedi and allies. As for the SWTOR Jedi Sage, besides the Balance skill tree, other available options include Telekinetics and Seer. Telekinetics is all about making use of force abilities to distort enemy's reality and manipulating energy waves.
In any case, whichever Jedi specialization you choose to play and whichever skill tree you go down, it will surely be a memorable experience.
The writer shares more details about each of the Jedi advanced classes at SWTOR Jedi Sage and SWTOR Jedi Shadow.
