We all know that the majority of people will be playing Jedi Knights or Sith Warriors in the new Star War the Old Republic MMO, but you shouldn't overlook the Smuggler class. This article will give you a quick SWTOR Smuggle review so you can see if the play style is something you would be interested in.
The Smuggler is basically the rogue class for SWTOR. They are sneaky and cunning and not shy about fighting dirty, in fact it is their preferred tactic. The Smuggler doesn't wear heavy armor and can't take the punishment a Jedi Knight can but, they are very sneaky and have more than a few tricks so they don't have too. When it comes to a fight the Smuggler will use their stealth to get an advantage on their opponent whether it's using invisibility to sneak up on them or hiding in cover and launching a long-range attack. They can also assist their allies with their healing abilities.
When you play the Smuggler you have two advanced classes to choose from, the Scoundrel and the Gunslinger.
The Scoundrel is specialized in survival. They use stealth belt, med packs and carry a scatter gun. As a Scoundrel you have the option of either Sawbones which is a healing spec that uses "heal over time" abilities, or a Scrapper which uses stealth to get in and use there scattergun for some nice burst damage than sneak out again.
The Gunslinger is the master of the trick shot. They can dual wield blasters and are masters of the long-ranged combat. As a Gunslinger you can choose to be either a Saboteur which are experts with explosives and use advanced technologies or a Sharpshooter who uses precise, high damage attacks from long range.
Each character in SWTOR has 5 companions that make up their crew. These companions can perform various tasks such as crafting items, gathering resources, and going on missions. The Smugglers companions are:
Bowdaar
• Species: Wookie
• Planet: Nar Shaddaa
• Melee Tank with heavy armor
• Weapons: Vibroswords, various blades
• Crew Skills: +10 Cybertech Efficiency, +10 Scavenging Efficiency

• Species: male human

• Ranged Tank

• Medium Armor
• Uses blasters
Risha
• Planet: Alderaan
• Ranged Dps
• Medium Armor

The Smuggler class isn't for everyone, but if you enjoy being sneaky and out smarting your opponent then they might be right for you.

SWTOR Trooper Class Review
Star Wars the Old Republic MMO is here, and yes they have other classes available to play other than Jedi's or Sith. One of these classes is the Trooper. I'm going to give you a quick SWTOR Trooper class review so you can see if they might fit your play style.
The Trooper is an elite Special Forces combat machine. They wear heavy armor and use heavy firepower to overwhelm their opponents. There isn't much sneaking around or mystical powers of the force for the Trooper, instead they use powerful blaster rifles, two-handed cannons, and grenades to charge head-long into battle and take it to the enemy.
When you play with the Trooper you have 2 advanced classes to choose from, the Commando and the Vanguard.
The Commando is the main DPS spec and can also be used for healing. Their primary weapons are Heavy Blaster Cannons and Grenades. They have 2 primary skill trees, Gunnery and Combat Medic.
Gunnery: Focuses on maximizing your cannons destructive power.
Combat Medic: Gives the Commando the ability to heal in small groups and off-heal in larger groups.
The Vanguard is the defensive (Tank) spec. Their primary weapons are Blaster Rifles and Energy Shields. They have 2 primary skill trees, Tactics and Shield Specialist.
Tactics: Teaches the Vanguard how to more effectively deal with close range combat.
Shield Specialist: Focuses on enhancing shield generators to absorb more damage and protect allies.
The Commando and Vanguard share the Assault Specialist tree. These skills increase grenade range and add explosives to your arsenal.
Each character in SWTOR gets 5 companions to help gathering, crafting and can also go on missions. The Troopers Companions are:
M1-4X
Assault Droid Planet: Nar Shaddaa Melee DPS/tank Ranged with Blaster Rifle Starting Kit: Flamethrower

SWTOR Class Guide - The Sith Empire
If you are reading this SWTOR class guide then chances are that you are tempted to give into your dark side and choose the side of the Sith Empire. There are 3 different classes which are in this faction and each has their advantages and disadvantages but are still great classes to become a part of.
The Sith Empire
The Sith Empire was once destroyed by the Republic and now they are striking back without mercy ad with the objective to destroy the Republic and take control of the galaxy.
To do this the Empire has access to 3 different characters that will help them on their goal of galactic domination.
Sith Warrior
Predicted to be the most popular character that is going to be used by any anyone who chooses the dark side in the game. The Sith warrior is the Jedi of the Empire, equipped with two lightsabers instead of one however makes them twice as deadly and fuelled with rage makes them the most dangerous class to go against when it comes to close range combat. Even though they have heavy armour which does improve their defensive attributes the warrior can cut through multiple enemies at a time with ease!
When it comes to long range the Sith warrior has the ability to throw the lightsabers and also has access to force power such as shocking or chocking their opponents which makes them even more deadly to multiple or solo play!
Bounty Hunter
Just like the character in the film the bounty hunter in the game has a jetpack and a flamethrower which is great for when you are surrounded by enemies. With the ability to take the fight to the sky opponents will find it hard to kill such a character like the bounty hunter.
Equipped with more weapons the bounty hunter can be a deadly assailant when levelled up properly.
Imperial Agent
The imperial agent is more of an assassin type character that goes around in stealth mode to take out their enemies. Using the element of surprise and long range weaponry imperial agents are a very deadly opponent that is hard to spot until it is too late.
As you can tell from this SWTOR class guide these 3 classes are very tempting to choose from. You may however still be confused which class to choose so maybe doing a bit of research into the classes will be a benefit for you.
If you are still unsure about what class to choose then check out more SWTOR class guides and see which one is worth joining.
You can even get more information on the game over at the SWTOR Secretes which offers information on the game, classes and also a game guide which is bound to help you on your journey to dark or light.

SWTOR PvP Guide - One PvP Tip for Each SWTOR Class
To become a super SWTOR PvP player takes a lot of practice, beginning with the lowest level possible. But playing only your class doesn't cut it. You have to know the other classes as well, to be aware what stuff they may throw at you or how they will attack you. For that, you should either roll a character from each class, or simply learn about their gameplay by using a SWTOR PvP guide.
That's what I did and in a very short time, I became one of the top PvP players on my server, leader of premades that everyone was eager to join. Since I've learned so much about PvP in Star Wars: The Old Republic from this SWTOR PvP guide in such a short time, I'm going to share here a PvP tip for each class in this game.
1. Smuggler. Smugglers are excellent crowd controllers and if you choose to play this class in PvP, crowd control attacks are more important than damaging attacks. Since smugglers have fast and barrage ranged attacks, they can fulfill the role of interruptors. Make sure you keep your "Escape" ability at hand, it sure is one of the most important abilities of the smuggler in PvP.
2. Trooper. Troopers can be tanks, off-healers and massive ranged DPS dealers. However, the first role isn't that much of a requirement Warzones. To have a maximum feeling playing your trooper in PvP it's best to spec as Commando-Gunner, for focused cannon DPS.
3. Jedi Consular. This class is the main healer of the Galactic Republic, so if you want players to worship you, it's best to go with the Seer build. As a Jedi Shadow, following the Infiltration spec, this class is very fun to play, but you will have to make maximum use of your stealth-based attacks.
4. Jedi Knight. As a Jedi Knight, one of the Watchman of Combat Sentinel builds are most indicated if you want to act as a strong melee damage dealer. Keep in mind though that your Force Leap and Resolve are very important abilities, so use them wisely.
1. Sith Warrior. As a Sith Warrior in PvP I would follow the Vengeance path as a Juggernaut or the Carnage spec as a Marauder. Anyway, just as for the Jedi Knight, make maximum use of the charge ability, slow and knockdowns, because otherwise ranged opponents will kite the crap out of you.
2. Sith Inquisitor. Healer, DPS caster or stealth-based melee DPS are the three choices that you can make as a Sith Inquisitor. Either way, keep your Backlash and Unbreakable Will bound on an easy reachable key.
3. Bounty Hunter. The main cards of a BH in PvP are heavy ranged damage and crowd control. However, it's best to CC a target when you know for sure that they have used their CC purge ability. Best damaging spec for DPS in PvP should be Arsenal Mercenary.
4. Imperial Agent. Playing this class in PvP you should maximize your ranged attacks, since this is the sniper of the Sith Empire. Otherwise, if you choose a Concealment build, make sure you take maximum advantage of your stealth and only come out when you're sure you can deal maximum damage, or kill at least one target.
I hope these tips help. Anyway, if you want to become a complete SWTOR player and even run your own premades, I strongly recommend you a SWTOR PvP guide.

SWTOR Class Guide - Jedi Knight Vs Sith Warrior
Jedi Knight
The Jedi knights are also known as the peacekeepers of the galaxy. They fight and protect the republic from threats that may arise to take them down.
Sith Warrior
The Sith warrior is similar to the Jedi knight but instead of fighting for the republic they fight for the Sith Empire whose sole purpose is to defeat the Republic and then start a galactic domination phase.
Sith Warrior vs. Jedi Knight
In the game the top two predicted classes that will be used are the Jedi and the Sith warriors. The main thing that attracts people to these classes are the lightsabers but apart from that there are plenty features of each class that makes them a good choice to pick from.
Jedi Speed
The Jedi use leather robes as their armour which makes them faster than the Sith are. This means that they are able to evade attacks faster than plenty of other classes and with the ability to use force speed they can bring in attacks to their opposition even faster.
Sith Defence
Unlike the Jedi the Sith will have heavy armour which does mean that they are slower but it does mean that their defence is increased. Benefits of this mean that you can be under attack from multiple enemies and sustain a lot of damage which gives you time to attack your assailants.
Force Powers
Both the Jedi and Sith have access to the force powers however the Jedi have more control of it than the Sith do. Even with this both side have the advantage over their enemies by being able to use these abilities to push, throw, choke, and shock their enemies which can be very effective in situations.
The Jedi force powers are stronger than the Sith and probably is their biggest attribute in the game.
Sith Warrior Melee
Like the Jedi attributes are the force powers the main attribute for the Sith warrior is their melee.
Equipped with two lightsabers instead of one the warriors can kill enemies twice as fast and can take on twice as many enemies when they are in close combat range. When attacking at close range the Sith warrior takes the trophy of being the most deadly.
Which Side Do You Choose?
With the help of this SWTOR class guide you should have an idea of which class you want to choose from. Whichever one you choose from if levelled up correctly you will be able to create a near impossible to defeat character.
If you are still unsure about what class to choose then check out more SWTOR class guides and see which one is worth joining.
You can even get more information on the game over at the starwars-oldrepublicinfo.com which offers information on the game, classes and also a game guide which is bound to help you on your journey to dark or light.
